Teaching and training
Montpellier SupAgro researcher-professors and engineers, as well as INRAE and Cirad teaching consultants, provide training in animal husbandry and participate in other degree courses (bachelor, master, engineer) covering agronomic and veterinary fields.
The unit also conducts and contributes to short professional training modules.
Finally, the unit is deeply involved in PhD training.
PhD
UMR Selmet is a host laboratory for two doctoral schools (ED for “Ecoles Doctorales” in French): ED GAIA (Biodiversity, Agriculture, Food, Environment, Land, Water) in Montpellier and ED ABIES (Agriculture, Food, Biology, Environment Health) in Paris.

Institute Agro Montpellier delivers two engineering degrees, with different options in the last year (M2 level).
Masters
In France, UMR Selmet is in charge of a course in the international Master's program "Agronomy and Agrifood Sciences" (Master 3A) at Institut Agro Montpellier.
Professional degree in Agricultural Management of Natural Areas (GENA)
UMR Selmet participates in the Agricultural Management of Rural Natural Spaces (GENA) professional degree program, which takes place at the Institut d'éducation à l'agro-environnement on the Florac Campus of Institut Agro Montpellier in Lozère.
Short continuing education courses
UMR Selmet organizes or intervenes in training modules open every year to continuing education students. It also organizes customized training programs in its specific areas of expertise.
