Description

The project Adapt-Herd will develop simulation tools to implement and design innovative strategies for resilience and efficiency (R&E) in small ruminants herds. To develop these tools, the overriding concept is that sheep and goats have strong biological mechanisms to deal with constraining and fluctuating feeding resources. Such adaptive capacities can be fully integrated within management strategies to face the current feeding constraints in the Mediterranean area, but also the future disturbances induced by climate change.
